He holds the position of Minister of Justice and previously held the position of Companies' Registrar at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. He has also held several academic positions, serving as a member of the University of Jordan's council and the Faculty of Law. He is a former member of the Jordanian Senate and an expert in intellectual property rights. In 2020, he was appointed to manage the Ministry of Interior.

He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law from the University of Jordan. In 1997, he obtained a Doctorate in Law from the University of Edinburgh.​
